An act to modify the requirements concerning screening for dyslexia; and to clarify the requirements for school districts to screen students for dyslexia.
Defines “dyslexia interventions” and requirements of dyslexia programs. Requires parents who choose an independent dyslexia evaluation to cover the cost of such testing. Requires the state Department of Education to employ at least one dyslexia specialist.
